A few weeks ago I was invited to read for The Poetry Trust alongside Helen Mort, Katrina Naomi and Hannah Lowe. Our chat before the gig has been turned into a new podcast: Awesome Foursome in Conversation.
Hear about our poetry joys and nightmares, the poets who started us writing and our experiences of the Poetry Trust’s Advanced Seminar Scheme.
I’m ridiculously excited to be reading at the Bush Theatre on Wednesday 8th May as part of the Poetry Trust’s Awesome Foursome alongside Hannah Lowe, Helen Mort and Katrina Naomi.
I’ll be reading alongside:
Hannah Lowe – Essex-born and has lived in London, Brighton and California. Her debut pamphlet The Hitcher recently followed by acclaimed first collectionChick (Bloodaxe 2013). Arresting and evocative stories.
Katrina Naomi – Born Margate, lives South London. Prize-winning pamphlet followed by first collection The Girl with the Cactus Handshake. First writer-in-residence at the Brontë Parsonage Museum. Entertaining, risky and fresh.
Helen Mort – Sheffield-born, Derbyshire-based. Foyle Young Poet (five times). Recent poet-in-residence at The Wordsworth Trust. Two pamphlets already and a first collection this year – Division Street (Chatto and Windus). Formal skill, honest compassion.
